IMHO the white leaves different marks that are just as back...after awhile ull get a bunch of scuff marks that make the finish look more greyish brown...this is why i hated iBooks

Exactly why it wouldnt happen, cause Apple doesn't want to give people choice at one price point. Its either desktop or portable.... pick ur price... and low beho thats the mac for you. Period. No disputing the great Oracles at Cupertino.

As a MBP Merom dreamer i feel... well like I dont know how I feel....

If I was optimistic I would say the must have cleared the iMac out for a reason. Perhaps the new MBP will have a few more changes than just C2D to speak about so they updated iMac got it out and will now use the MBP as a big speaking event along with the iTunes Movie store and stuff...

Another note, this must mean that the ACD's will eventually jump to 24"?

holy chit...nice price point on the all models especially 17" and 24". Excellent upgraded 17" model too...you get a lot of good stuff for $200 more from base.

Interesting... I was about to edit my last post that Apple's site doesn't claim the Macbook has any slots... I can't see any in the Macbook QTVR images either.

Full screen playback of videos now has Quicktime-style translucent controls.
You can properly tag TV shows.
But unfortunately, it looks like there's no way to edit video info for more than one file at a time. Bummer, since I have dozens of TV episodes I'd like to have tagged correctly. I guess maybe either a future update, or hopefully a Doug's script?
This is exactly what I'm trying to figure out: how to find the music videos I've downloaded. Ones that came with an album purchase (as a bonus) are in "Movies". Ones I downloaded separately are just mixed in with "Music" and not distinguished except by the little TV icon.

This would explain why their catalogue was discounted to itunes album pricing lately, grab the $10-per-album crowd's money while they can.
Music released to stores in January are what labels think have no shot. Unless itunes is different, I wouldn't expect Beatles there until March, possibly next Fall to make a big splash for xmas shoppers. The "1" album oughta be the biggest seller.
I found an article that says Lennon's rights reverted to his estate as the original 28-year period expired during the 90's. If true, McCartney and Sony/Jackson split the other 50%.
BTW, clearchannel didn't ban. Stations could take the advice or ignore it. Govt. censorship is all that truly matters, anyway. Radio Disney won't play death metal. oh no, BANNED! *eyeroll*

makes sense that they upgrade the 15 and 17 and not the 13, the 13 inch is pretty good as it is, they just need to upgrade the hard drives to 250 and 320gb and the 15 and 17 inch should reach 1TB

Lets hope they remaster them - the stereo effects on the original versions can be really painful on a pair of headphones.

The quality of The Beatles CD releases are, for the most part, poor. Of course, they date from 1987, and digital tech has improved greatly since then.
The music itself could also do with a remix. Mixing drums entirely in one stereo channel is difficult to take in headphones!
