I don't know the answer to question one, but the answer to the second question is yes. On top of that, the rate of conviction of blacks is higher.

What happens to the Facebook app now? Do they get someone else in or do they just let it rot?

Handango has been around for a decade, with tens of thousands of apps for all kinds of phones. Some carriers even included Handango's specific store app, which existed years before the iPhone came along.

Only on an Apple forum, when new features are raised as possibilities, does a sizeable minority of posts involve griping about "Why would you want to do that?!" or "What kind of stupid feature is that?"
I don't see what's so hard to accept that some times, in some instances, some people might find use of over-the-air updates. Given that Apple always releases new iOS updates at 1pm during weekdays, when the vast majority of us are at work, I can easily invision scenarios where there's a cool new feature in a point update that everyone wants to give a spin. Why not start the download at work so it's ready to test drive before you leave the office?
And, to all those citing bandwidth constraints as curtailing this behavior: Verizon users have no such constraints.

Saw that one coming. I cringe everytime I see an Apple security commercial. It's like spitting in the hackers face.
I think everyone did it was just a matter of time until there was a wireless exploit. I personally think with the uptake of more Apple systems and the perception of better security on Apple systems many people see this as a challange to break a Mac (ala Hack a Mac).
Either way it still isn't as bad as Windows :cool:

Looks pretty awesome, I've been waiting all summer for this. I'll be buying one for my wife as soon as apple stores have them in stock. They say today, but I'm guessing it will be at least a few days?
Yeah, that's usually the way it works - I'd say a few days is more realistic for a product like this one. And expect it to sell quickly. :cool:

I predict this will be a hot thread for discussion. I'll admit that the app approval process leaves me a bit cold, and is in dire need of some changes.

Time Machine seems more like the Shadow Copies on Server only on a local level rather than a network drive. (example attached)
I'm assuming they will use a form of Single Instance Storage with TM, so you have one copy of the file and only the deltas from any changes to reduce space requirements.
I think the actual automated backing up of stuff has been aound for years. Its the way Apple does it that makes it great. I mean cmon. Look at the screen shot you posted and then time machine! :D

What do people really expect to see refreshed in an iPod Classic? Retina Display? App store for click wheel games? Wifi for Pandora?

There is nothing wrong with shopping at Wal-Mart, whether it be for school supplies, tv for a college dorm room, or toothpaste.
To the point, there are documentaries and sociological studies that exist documenting Wal-Mart's "bullying" ways in the marketplace. Just like the vacuum story - they demand lower prices from their suppliers so they can provide lower prices for customers. If they don't get what they want, they'll go to China. I hope they finally get caught. Wal-Mart is an easy target right now, but at least my toothpaste is cheap. :)

It's not like it takes that long to press an icon, although it might help some in the cold winter when I have gloves on.
I'm in MN and gloves are a necessity for about half of the year. I made my own iGloves...bought some knit gloves opened up just the tips of the thumbs. Of course on very cold days knit gloves won't do, but I have have the heart to cut leather gloves.
