Steve looks unhealthy. He's not as sharp as he used to be. His keynotes were flawless. He stuttered several times, forgot what he was saying in mid sentence, and handed a considerable amount of the keynote to other people. Steve was a control freak in past WWDC keynotes.
I think he may be in not-so-good health. But I've said that before.
I had the same reaction... he almost looked gaunt. I just compared shots of Steve yesterday with his appearance at the January Macworld Expo, and there's a noticeable difference. Plus, the tag team approach to demoing Leopard's features made it seem as if he needed time to rest in between the parts of his presentation.

Easiest solution is to skip Adobe... they've continually disregarded market "prices" for their products for years (even MS grew up to the fact that you can't charge end users $750 per license for Office when free alternatives exist). There are legitimately better applications produced by smaller companies as well as Apple without having to spend this kind of atrocious amount of money. Products from IMSI, Omni, etc. are cheap and very good. $650 for PS? Gimmie a break... it isn't worth 1/10 of that...
I'm using Adobe Photoshop Elements 9. For people like me it's an excellent product. It includes all the features someone like me (a keen amateur) needs and only costs �65.
Whilst Adobe's UK pricing is bordering on criminal, at least PSE is an affordable option.

Try squeezing 26,000 songs on your iPhone. ;)
Nice library, but do you need it with you at all times? I used to think I did, but I've found that I don't need 11,000 songs with me all the time. I have songs in my library I haven't listened to in years. Another reason why the iPod classic is dying, Apple, and iTunes, have made it very easy to manage the music you actually listen to, and add it to your iPod.

I remain optimistic that Apple will release a new classic with more storage space. Something like the new 220gb toshiba drives would do nicely. ( I think it's 220gb) I don't really see the need to discontinue the classics, they are great. Plus touch screens aren't for everyone, I get really annoyed when I'm out with gloves on, changing albums is a right pain! I also can't press the iPod in my pocket to change the song, like I can do with the classic. I really hope they don't discontinue the Classic.

Like many like minded Apple users (I love this group), I am one that does not shop at Wal Mart. It's buisness model is to undercut and ruin other buisnesses.
Regardless of the fact that I live in the state that is home of Target Corporation, I simply do not like Wal Mart. I have listened to stories from Contractors in southern states say not so comforting things about that company. One of the companies that we work with was not alloud to have any women or African Americans working on job sites related to building Wal Mart buildings. If the companies were caught with such employees they were fined thousands of dollars!
Wal Mart an KMA (figure it out yourself), besides if they stop selling Cds and DVD's it really wouldn't matter to me anyway, as I don't buy from them!

Here's a question to ponder...How are people suppose to install this firmware if there macbooks keep shutting down?
Anyways, I reccomend people use this firmware instead of geting their heatsink replaced. The later option involves an ugly screw in the middle of your macbook.
At the next RSD, press the power button and don't let go until you hear a musical sound (maybe holding the button 4-5 second). Then when it reboots, it'll force the CUP to operate at 1GHz. And you won't get the shut down problem. This would probably be the best condition under which to do this firmware update. Good luck!

Well, lets see where would they put it? Between Mac Mini and iMac.... you know in that $200 difference. Or maybe between iMac and Pro Mac.... in that what $300 difference. It seems like the Mac Mini bump and iMac expansion have left no room in the line-up for another Mac. Even with conroes... all speeds, sizes, prices are covered. There isn't room for a Conroe Mac. Period.
Why does it have to go inbetween the iMac and something? How about giving customers a CHOICE at the same pricepoint as the iMac. Lose the integrated LCD for those who have one, bump up the specs a bit and sell at the same price points... See my post above for what I would like to see....

I don't want to drag this too far OT, but my arguments are germane for two reasons. First, the history of the black population in London will be just as critical in understanding the relationship between race and crime there as it is in the US (where I am more familiar with the issue). Power relationships, socioeconomic status, prejudice, media slant - these are all major factors in the way people percieve issues and the way they go about trying to understand and solve them. We need more data on the London situation before any judgments can be made.

Anybody got a alternative method for reaching CorvusCamenarum, such as email, text, etc.? I don't want it, and I'm not asking that it get posted, but if someone has a method for checking if he's ok, I hope you will. Droid updates come in just fine over 3G, plus i feel the VZW version of the iphone 5 will infact be LTE since the iphone 5 is now delayed!
In you case, Enjoy att tiered data and if you are on att unlimited data, try an use alot of data then att will claim you are tethering and automatically switch you to tiered data.

It probably has to do with the three20 project incident a couple of days ago. Basically some devs had their apps rejected because they were using three20 which had some private API calls.

Is it just me, or a 24" iMac would've been nice to show on stage with whatever that "Showtime" thing might be? That would, at least, have made some sense to at least start by showing that.
Which means the september 12th presentation must be really packed with new stuff if they couldn't even announce the 24" iMac at that event. They've also bumped the CPUs on the Mac mini today, so that makes two updates on the same day too.
It's also weird to see new releases on a wednesday...
If it's an event centered around Apple's multimedia business, it probably wouldn't have made much sense. I suspect the rumoured Airport Express Video will be announced (or rather it's more likely than not), and some tweaks to the iPod line are also in the offing, but I'm not expecting either to appear that exciting at first.
I would caution anyone about being disappointed by next Tuesday's event. There will be minimal hardware announced, and the full consequences of that hardware existing will not be readily apparent to most people. When you see it, think "No wireless. Less space than a Nomad. Lame" - CmdrTaco's comments upon the original iPod launch, the significance of which most people missed too.
