and just dealing with life in general I have myself wound up like a yo-yo.

So I sincerely apologize for my lack of posting this month (only 12 times?! and no recipes?! yikes) but I promise that my head is full of plenty of things to share with you all. I just need to pause, breathe and relax.

I would just like that to share one thing that has had been pissed to the max;

we sent out formal invitations to our Engagement Party with a specific rsvp date requesting that guests call my Mother.

A couple of our friends, who shall remain nameless, emailed & texted their rsvp.

Two people actually had a friend rsvp for them and didn't contact either myself or Ryan directly. (with the exception of those who asked if they should call my Mother and were told we could pass the message along for them, at least they asked)

WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?

Am I totally overreacting? or am I right to think that etiquette dictates that people should rsvp as requested and if they can't or don't feel comfortable then at least call us or speak to us in person.

Four Movies That Don't Really Go Together

I watched four very different movies in the last week. 

My taste in movies is quite eclectic, I prefer drama and horror and tend to avoid romantic comedys but when I get bored I'll watch almost anything.

It takes a lot for a movie to make me laugh though.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon

I read all four twilight books.

I am not a twi-hard, I am not Team Edward of Team Jacob.

I only watch the movies because I read the books (and never in theaters) but I thought the movie was awful, I thought the first movie was awful too. Sorry all you Twilight fans out there in Blogland I'm sure I will get some comments disagreeing with me which is totally fine. I just don't think the acting is top-notch and find it awkard to watch the charactors interact.

The Machinist

This is the movie that Christian Bale lost a ton of weight for. His sickly thin body was really disgusting and distracting. The movie was creepy but interesting and left you wondering what the fuck is going on. I don't think this is a must see movie but it was interesting. If you like movies with a twist you will probably like this.

Year One

This movie was completely moronic but entertaining. There were a couple of laughs but it wasn't Tha Hangover or anything. Jack Black is really annoying though and obviously the premise was completely rediculous.

Shrek: Forever After

I have been a fan of the Shrek movies since day one. While some people said this movie lacked the adult humour that some of the others had I still found it hilariously entertaining. I would definitely recommend seeing this one if you have seen the others.

It seems like just yesterday I posted my last WTF. This week really flew by for me and it's very rare that I would say that so I'm sure I will be punished with a horribly long dragging week starting on Monday.

Oh well.

So this week's WTF is a double wammy because I really couldn't decide between these two ugly articles of clothing. They both come from Top Shop, which I don't find shocking because their site, while have a few cute items, is full of WTF moments.

I realize Harem pants are popular, I don't know why.

When I look at these pants two things immediately come to mind,

1. a saggy baby diaper or 

2. an old man in droopy tighty-whities.

I don't see the appeal of wearing pants that make you look like you've got something hiding inside them.

and secondly, over-alls or over-hauls, whichever is correct, belong in the 1990's.

No exceptions.

I was always a tomboy growing up - you would never have described me as a girly girl. I was tough, always played with the boys and wasn't afraid to get my hands dirty.
