Trend Alert: White Hot

I never really put a lot of thought into wearing white until we were headed to a white party on our cruise in 2009.

It's a very basic color that add a lot of heat and I am loving all the white I am seeing around the fashion world! Everything from shoes to handbags to swimwear is popping up in white.

I have been on the search for dresses for upcoming events and I keep coming back to white. I think a little white dress would be perfect for summer cocktail parties, bbq's (or my bridal shower).

Another Friday is here!

I'm especially excited for this weekend since my little Sis will be in Boston and I will be spending part of my weekend in the city with her.

And of course Mother's Day is Sunday! Who has brunch plans?

Spring & Summer Sandals

What's my favorite part of spring & summer?

the shoes of course!

I love my boots dearly, don't get me wrong, but when I can finally break out some peep toes, sandals or wedges I feel like winter is finally over.

Wedge sandals are my absolute favorite style but this year I am favoring flat styles a little bit more and luckily there are so many pairs to choose from!

A perfect gold & tan pair from Steve Madden

I absolutely adore this turqoise pair from Aldo. It's also available in white, peach and beige. Those colors scream warmth to me!

An absolute steal at $7.50 these sandals from Forever 21 are perfect for days spent on the boardwalk.

These JCrew gladiator sandals are a bit of a splurge, but so cute it might just be worth it.

I am so excited for the weekend, starting with game night tonight followed by a super low key evening at home. I can't wait to give myself a mani/pedi.

I realized that I haven't featured much men's fashion here for WTF?! (Adam Lambert doesn't count) and that needs to change.

I was browsing Aldo's website when I decided to check out some of the men's shoes thinking maybe I could find some flip flops for the Future Hubs. Instead I found these:

I know the gladiator sandal has been popular for women but I do feel that perhaps it doesn't quite translate to men's fashion. My co-worker said she wouldn't be surprised to see a man wearing these...in Europe.

My Current Obsession

Tan boots

Since the beginning of fall, (way back haha) I have been obsessing over tan or camel colored boots.

I have quite a few pairs of boots in my closet yet they are all either black or gray since I don't wear brown (I know). I realized though that a perfect addition to my collection would be a pair like these.

This pair, however, totally missed the mark and has ended up the focus of today's WTF?!



I'm not quite sure what to make of it, it's a boot, it's a sandal, it's both?

What are your thoughts?

Mine are that it's pretty fug and I would never put these on my feet but if you disagree you can purchase these interesting shoes at Nordstrom...and on sale no less! (I wonder why haha)

Perfect Plumb & Gorgeous Gray

Looking down at my choice of clothing this morning I was happy to see that I had inadvertantly put on my favorite color combination for this fall/winter!

Plumb & Gray

I think they perfectly compliment each other while still giving a nice hint of color to the otherwise darker seasons. I have plenty of gray in my closet but not quite enough plumb to go around. I would love to add some more accessories and shoes in pretty plumb.

Welcome my friends, welcome! Happy Friday to you. It's a bit of a sad Friday for me, I am working a half day (score!) but that means I have to work a half day tomorrow (sad face) BUT I still plan on making the most of my evening with a fab grilled chicken dinner with Ryan and his Sister.

Now onto the fug!

The reason I chose this piece from a fabulous and well known designer is because, well, I find it to be really fugly of course. The reason is that I hate Ugg boots, they look stupid on everyone, they aren't fashionable, you can't wear them in the snow because they're not waterproof so what is the point?!!

And these boots by Stella McCartney are just giant UGGS!!! which by the way I lovingly refer to as Ugglies.

Oxfords I Actually Like

As a matter of personal taste I have totally not  been on board with the Oxfords bandwagon but then I spotted some lovely new styles popping up in fall catalogues and I may have changed my mind. Maybe Oxfords with a wedge or heel aren't "real" Oxfords but they're a heck of a lot cuter than the flat ones in my book!
