It's A Bird, It's A Plane....Yup It's A Plane

Lots of planes actually.
This past Sunday the Fiance and I along with his brother and sister headed to the Boston-Portsmouth Air Show It's been years since I've gone to one of these but it was definitely a blast. There were hundreds of planes there some flying, doing stunts, some stationary that you could tour and some with people jumping out of them!

We parked ourselves pretty close to the action and proceeded to witness awe inspiring aerial acrobatics, Top Gun style fly-bys  and some seriously loud engines. The Army's Golden Angels flight and jump team performed and closing out the show, the famous Navy Blue Angels.

It was a perfectly day for an air show, not a cloud in the clear blue sky and the sun was shining. It was well over 90 degrees in NH and I have the sunburn to prove it! Ryan and I even got to stand inside the Turbine Engine of a Boeing 757!

Who doesn't love an air show?!

Emmy Awards Fashion

While I unfortunately missed the Red Carpet on tv, I did catch part of the show and thanks to OMG at Yahoo I was able to catch up on the fashion!

I chose my favs and the ones I didn't like so much (hate is such a strong word) and I must say, way more favs this time around! So let's get to it!

FAVS

Sofia Vergara is stunning in gold

Claire Danes is breathtaking in a sparkly blush number that is so on trend.

Julie Bowen is showstopping in a fitted  J. Mendel dress

I am loving the color of Jayma Mays Burberry Prorsum gown

Jenna Fisher is ravishing in coral

Adore the material and flow of Kyra Sedgewick's gown

Jennifer Carpenter is stunning in sequins and husband Michael C. Hall is equally delicious

I would trade places with Nina Dobrev anyday, she looks phenomenal!

Those I was not a big fan of

Christina Hendricks is 80s prom dress gone horribly wrong in this lavender ensemble

Military inspired looks are hot right now but Anna's dress is so not.

Eva Longoria Parker's look, while very pretty, bores me.

Lo Bosworth's look is more suited for a day at the office, not the Emmys.

Lea Michelle's Oscar de la Renta gown is a hot mess

I have no words for this hideous hot pink look donned by Holly Burrell

and Honorable Mentions

I'm undecided on Tina Fey's look, I love it and don't at the same time

and I adore Rose Byrne's dress but the hair is awful.

So who did you love? Who was a hot mess? Agree with my picks?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks to Yahoo for the photos

US Weekly Hot Hollywood Boston

Last night I was lucky enough to attend this swanky event at Splash Ultra Lounge in Boston. With Kinsey Michaels as my date we donned our stilettos and headed downtown. We arrived to a photo-op and feeling red carpet ready we struck a pose!

We hit up the gorgeous blue lit bar to sip on some US Weekly inspired cocktails like the Hot Hollywood and Red Carpet Cocktail. The event was hosted by Bud Select 55, Vitamin Water and Smart Water which they were also handing out throughout the evening.

Splash Lounge has a gorgeous rooftop with cabanas and couches where we mingled with fellow bloggers Jaime and Neira and munched on h'ors d'oeuvres like bacon wrapped scallops, oysters and chicken "on a stick".

At the end of the evening they handed out fabulous swag bags full of chocolate, Vitamin & Smart Waters along with a current copy of US Weekly and other fun goodies. The score of the night though? I won this gorgeous yellow leather Juicy Couture bag and an Adidas watch! How lucky am I?!!

The whole evening was fantastic and the weather was perfect for hanging out in the warm night air. Nothing beats free drinks and swag, right?!

Happy Friday lovelies!
What the Fug?! will be back next week.

Dinner Parties & Goodbyes

We threw a little dinner party this week in honor of my bestie Amber who is moving to beautiful San Francisco. It was a nice change of pace to see our friends  on a weeknight, and cook for them too!

the spread

I made not one, but two different kinds of Mac 'N Cheese! My  famous Taco Mac 'n Cheese (recipe here) and a classic Baked Mac 'n Cheese (recipe here). My girly made bomb-pop martinis and we had some delish cupcakes too.

So with one bestie out in San Diego and one off to San Fran I have two reasons to plan a trip out west!

A Very Jersey Weekend

After 7 hours and one minor breakdown in the car we made it to New Jersey thirty minutes late for my Brothers' engagement party. What can I say? We like to make an entrance.

Some highlights of our trip include cheap gas that we didn't have to pump ourselves, being hit on by some dirty thug at a rest stop, pouring rain at the beach and a few adult beverages. The trip didn't quite go as planned due to insane traffic and bad weather but we still had a great time with my family.

I am however, sad to report there were no Snookie sightings, we were in a completely different part of Jersey.

Some photographic highlights:

my oh my what a good lookin' family

watch out now, she has knives

the beautiful beach, pre-monsoon

only the brave ones went in

I apologize for my pitiful lack of commenting lately. I have been reading!! swear. My work computer can't have IE 8 due to an incompatibility with company software and this causes lots of web errors which means I try to comment, I write my comments but they just won't post!

I'm working on it.
Until then, Have a fab-u-lous Wednesday!
