Vacation Part One

Hello Hello! Vacation is officially over, it snowed and rained here today and tomorrow I go back to work! I have decided to split my vacation post into 3 parts. I am also trying something new with my photos. I hope you like it!! So the first part will encompass days 1, 2, 3 and 4 of our trip.

Day One: South Beach - Miami, Florida
We flew down on Friday and immediately headed out to walk around South Beach. We went to a fabulous (an expensive) dinner at Prime Italian on Ocean Drive and then bar hopped around the area.

Days Two and Three: First day and night on the Ship! At Sea.
Our ship was the Norwegian Pearl. We boarded around 11am and explored the ship before settling into our staterooms. We ate dinner at Mambos, the ship's mexican restaurant and then hit the Bliss Ultra Lounge for bowling and dancing. We really enjoyed ourselves and had a small audience watching us dance around haha. Day three was an 'at sea' day so we lounged by the pool and then later that night had dinner in the Main dining room.

Day Four: Samana, Dominican Republic

Our first stop was in the DR. We had a jeep excursion planned. We got off the ship and headed to our jeeps! The tour was about 5 hours long, we drove through the beautiful landscape of Samana. We saw a lot of the poverty on this island but despite that, the island is incredibly beautiful. We made three stops on the tour, the first at a shop where we were given a demonstration of local produce, foods and drinks. We did a short hike to a waterfall then drove to a beautiful secluded beach with an outdoor bar, we tried a local drink and then headed back to the ship. That evening we tried the 'drink of the day' and watched the sunset from the upper deck. We enjoyed dinner at Lotus, the Ship's Asian restaurant.
